Hi John and welcome to the group. I am an x Beemer rider also. R11GSA, R11RA and R1150GSA. You'll love the KLR. It will never be a comfy at the Beemer on the long hauls or interstates and stuff but sure a kick on the back roads and stuff. Enjoy. I'm on my 2nd KLR the first being a '92 and my present '00.
