I managed to hit 100 mph GPS speed on my VT-LAB2V ride...fully loaded (tank panniers,
saddle bags, Givi top box, backpack, and my own 240 lb ass), fully wound out, fully tucked
in, on a downhill, with a tailwind...
Yes I burned oil.
Yes, on the interstates I wish I had a 16T sprocket (or a KTM 990).
I ran a 15T the whole way and in the desert...it really is a happy medium.
Stu's bike had the 685 kit, mine is stock and off the line it was pretty close in terms of
acceleration but I think he was geared down a bit too.
