50/50 tire recommendations?

Post by tilster187 » Mon Nov 12, 2007 9:46 am

Hello: My tires are getting sad, so I need to start looking for replacements. Anyone have any 50/50 experience? Brand, where did you get them, price...all that good stuff would be appreciated. Thanks.

<><><><><><><> <><><><><><><> Howdy, I use Kenda K270s in 3.00 x 21 front with 32 psi on road and maybe 22-24 psi off road. I use the K270 on the rear in 5.10 x 17 with 36 psi on pavement and maybe 26-28 off pavement. I stuff them with Ultra heavy duty or just heavy duty tubes. These work well for me riding solo or with a full touring load. I get the tires at www.rockymountainatv.com or www.bikebandit.com . Cost is usually about $32 front and $45 or so rear. I get the tubes from Fred at www.arrowheadmotorsports.com . Tubes usually cost around $20. Plan ahead if you go with the K270s as they can sometimes be tough to locate in stock. Sadly, for those of us here in California there is no choice in the matter. The V-Strom is sold here. The Versys is not :-(.
