new klr.....

Post by Don Pendergraft » Wed Nov 07, 2007 10:40 am

If you plan on doing anything off-road on an '08 KLR, then nerf bars are to be much desired. HT or SW moto. But then, they aren't a bad idea on prior years either. Just more farkles for the beast I say. :o) Don+ _____ From: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com [mailto:DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of David Sent: Wednesday, November 07, 2007 9:08 AM To: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com Subject: [DSN_KLR650] New KLR..... Whats up everyone....I almost traded in my 07 KLR for the 08 model the other day, when it hit me. If your really take your bike off road...regardless of how hard you ride it, in my opinion you'll end up going down. I've been down a few times. Now what happens when you go down with all that new plastic on the bike? It just doesnt seem like the smartest thing to do...or what happens when the guy in front of you kicks a rock up into that nice new headlight assy? Anyways....just wanted to see what you guys thought about the subject. For now i'll stick with my tried and proven KLR....Dave [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

tire tube sizes

Post by dc50093 » Wed Nov 07, 2007 11:38 pm

I'm getting ready for a trip to Baja on my 2007 KLR650 and want to bring some extra tire tubes in the event of a flat. Prior to purchasing new tubes I came across a couple of tubes that I already have- sizes 2.75/3.00-21 and 4.50/5.10-17. I'm pretty sure the 2.75/3.00-21 should fit the front tire but I'm not sure if the 4.50/5.10-17 will fit the rear. Can someone who is familiar w/ tube sizes give me some insight into weather or not these tubes will do? Thanks, DC
