[dsn_klr650] swiss cheese tweeter

Post by Rich W » Wed Apr 26, 2000 7:02 am

I not only drilled 4 1/2 inch holes in the outer butt plate, but 4 right on through the next part of the muffler. When I drilled the butt plate, it was still tweeting a little but only when you accelerate. Under an idle it was nice. So I angled the drill on a 45 going through the holes in the outer plate and drilled slightly smaller holes into the inner cone. It's impossible to drill straight through the inner cone, since it is a cone shape. I can't remember exactelly, but I think a 3/8 bit worked nicely! Sound great now!!! Some may disagree with the sound...when compared to my friends A14 stock, mine definately seems louder... Rich A12 "Beast"
