I have been posting on the proboards some screen grabs of things we don't notice.  I found this one today.  The New IDAK clobbers the B9 - right behind the collar on the upper torso.  Something flies out and hits the ground.  I looked at it frame by frame today and it's clear to me the only piece of plastic that would fly out like this - is one of the B9's collar ribs.  In fact, it appears to me that two of them fly off in this scene.  You can see one of the ribs 1 or two frames after IDAK brings his fist down on the Robot.

Maybe that's why the collar rib number is all over the place!? lol

There are a few scenes where the robot has no power pack here he is walking with Will and Dr Smith

Craig

I've seen in season 1 where in one shot the
powerpack is missing but the robot is fully functioning and
in the next scene the powerpack reappears.

I've wondered that also. There's times where the Robot's power comes on, say being deactivated by an alien or something, and he gets reactivated and you can hear the clicking of switches for his lights. I've wondered if Bob had the option to turn the power on from inside the Robot or he just reached into the programming bay and turned them on since it was open from the inside. But I'm sure the power pack worked as well. Although "Welcome Stranger" was an early episode so maybe they didn't have the power pack hooked up yet. Bill Mumy probably hasn't seen that scene from "Welcome Stranger".     -Roy

At Chiller, this past October, Bill Mumy was pretty insistent to me that the powerpack powered the Robot and this did not happen.  It happens in WELCOME STRANGER for sure.  I suggested that there was a separate kill switch that maybe Bob May operated when the pack was pulled.
Anyone ever here what Bob May's version of this was?  I don't recall.
