Lynda: My dealer got some new steel keys that last longer. You might ask for them. Charles F. Molling Law Office of Charles F. Call Safari. They will replace them at a nominal cost. However, I got a replacement at the last homecoming in Orlando for free. The keys are zinc die cast material and will not stand up to the abuse we give them. I finally made my own out of steel but it was difficult even with my own machine shop. There doesn't seem to be a solution short of replacing the whole lock device with something better. Watch out for the steel keys. The way to use the Safari TREK basement key is to push it in as you turn and thus the wear on the key is lessened. The steel keys will wear out the locks on the doors and then you have problems. Carolyn & John McHale mchale@... http://homestead.juno.com/mchale 301-588-1916

Go to a Winnebago dealer and buy a good one.  It is not made of pot metal.
