John ; What made you decide on these batteries ? What were they priced at ? Why did you replace the solar panels three times ? RG

[John ; What made you decide on these batteries ? What were they priced at ? Why did you replace the solar panels three times ? RG] (J is for Joann, also) We read lots of web pages about batteries, and these have the highest evaluations. We paid about $170 each in Phoenix, but they are available for less in Miami. However, we weren't going to Miami, and because the fit for the 31's was going to be close, we didn't want to have them shipped and then not have them fit. Copper State in Phoenix installed them. The second battery must be lowered into position with a home-made handle--we used ropes. We did not replace solar panels, but just added a third panel. We now have 150 watts, and we've just been dry camping for over 6 weeks using lights, computers, etc, and NO NOISY GENERATOR! PS: a very good web page for solar installations is http://www.windsun.com for batteries: http://www.marinebatteries.com (Another name for Concorde is Lifeline)
