AGM Batteries

Post by John/Joann Figueras » Mon May 22, 2000 5:46 pm

('94 Isuzu Trek) After installing our third solar panel, we decided to buy new house batteries. Because of the difficulty of watering batteries under the steps, we wanted sealed ones, and the best seemed to be Concorde AGM's. Although measurements are very close, two 31's DO fit in the battery holder. Fortunately we checked the voltmeter while the alternator was running, because it read 15 volts, and the AGM's don't want more than 14.2. We then had the regulator replaced (it had a burned-out diode), and all is again well. We also installed a Heart Interface remote display / switch and recommend it. JF
